Mindfulness


Several of our staff have undertaken Professional Development in this area.  As a school we are proud to say that we have several methods of making the children aware of the importance of mindfulness and how we can take time out of everyday to help us practice this ability. One of these is a Mindfulness Education Program titled Smiling Minds. Please click on this link to read about the benefits a program such as this has for our children.

 

 

Some other methods used for small amounts of time during the day are:

  • Mindful colouring
  • Mindful dot to dots
  • Class Dojo video animations
  • Mindful games
  • Drawing/doodling
  • Jigsaws
  • Listening to relaxing music
